Clare,

I read this over and over. It is beautiful in a sad way. Your words take me with you as you live this difficult season of your life.

The line "my battle with life has just begun" hits me each time I get to it. Of course I can't know exactly what you are experiencing, but I read your words and they remind me of my experience. I certainly resonated with the feeling of life as a battle.

My loss was not my child, and I can't imagine how devastating that would be. May you find glimmers of hope along the way. I hope your writing helps heal your heart. You certainly capture your experience well.
