She was born in San Francisco on 07/17/1955 (a good year, huh!), my lovely, interesting, and incorageable twin sister. In plain words; she was my life's blessing and became the epitome of a best friend. The gifts she bestowed on me were endless. . . the gift of her uniqueness and depth of humanity are the characteristics I recognized and miss dearly every single day. She had that marvelous way of transporting others to a more secure place within themselves. With my "Mimi" you were a fortunate (and, Yes, sometimes perplexed) recipient in a relationship with her. I consider her "my faithful comrade" along this fascinating journey of life. One always felt protected and fully aware you were cared about if you were her friend!! She possesed the rare quality of lighting up a room just by being there. You simply desired to know more of the woman behind those beautiful eyes. She only posessed one significant flaw. . .she would "move heaven and earth" to improve life for her loved ones, but set the bar much lower for herself. My sister adored those nice moments spent on a beach, or lingering in a garden, or cooking someone's favorites and definitely laughing out loud with a girlfriend!!! We lost her on 07/30/2012 (just a young 57 years old), I can only wonder if others were aware of her impact. If so, do write your thoughts. In a nutshell, she was my marvelous companion and true hero. I respect the inner strength she demonstrated so often. I will honor her courage and grace the rest of my time.
